Archive for 'Maternity'

As some of you may know, the Small family has been expecting. Our little girl was due  on the 22nd of September, and per usual…she showed up right on time (just lik eher  brother). Amry weighed 8 lbs 3 oz. and was born at 5:34  pm, after a fast and furious 6 hour birth. (hopefully someday here ill post some candid [don't worry, not scary]  shots of the day, and her, right after she was born, but for now, i wanted to post a few of lately.

This was a fun little impromptu thing we did one evening. I was 37 weeks.

Anddddd…what kind of a photographer would i be, if i didn’t post a ‘before and after’?? (Also the top i was 38 weeks)

And one of her ‘official’ one week old photos.

39 weeks today! Im ready. and the doc says i could go anyday, so i figured we’d better snap a few more fun photos of my GINORMOUS belly before babe gets here. I think baby *A is telling Mar she’s too comfy to come out!?unique Maternity photos

Hey there. Its late, and hotter than a mother here in Maine, but I’ve really REALLY been wanting to share this shoot i did a month or so ago. Elizabeth and her lovely family, are expecting another peanut. We had been talking since before she found out she was pregnant (long before actually) about doing this shoot. This was they’re third shoot with me this year, and i cannot wait to photograph the birth of her sweet new addition, and watch their family grow through the years. Elizabeth and i have grown to become good friends, through our meeting from sessions. I am so fortunate to meet such wonderful people doing what i love. I could not be grateful enough. Well, without further ado…here is their ‘pregnancy announcement’ shoot.

A few days ago i got to wander outside, in between what feels like MONTHS of rain that we’ve had…to photography this adorable, FUN, growing family! It was so nice to meet Becky (the mama) since she knowes a lot of my friends, and my husband! ( I didn’t grow up around here, so i still havent met quite a lot of people my hubs knew ‘back in the day’) Which is fun sometimes :) We had a great time- and i got to pull out some of my secret moves on their cutie pie 3 year-old daughter!

I’d say they worked. What do you think?

I had the pleasure of doing my first session for the non profit organization Operation Love ReUntited this month. This Mama and her son were so much fun. We had succhh a nice time, getting sandy, and getting pictures for Dad who is currently deployed in Afghanistan. Dad is due home soon…they are almost there.photocrati gallery

So I was realizing the other day when I was making an OpLove business card to give to my FIRST OpLove client, that I didn’t have any info up on my blog about Operation: Love Reunited! Well, lets fix that! :)

I recently decided to join this non profit organization- which provides free photo shoots to military families who are either about to be deployed, are deployed, or are returning home. The volunteering photographer then compiles an album of shots from the session to send to the deployed family member, in hopes of boosting morale for that soldier.

I am so excited to be a part of this, and to, in a small way, show my gratitude for all those militarty folks who give SO MUCH for us, everyday. My brother has been in the Marines for almost 20 years, and been deployed more than once, so i thought this would be a lovely way to honor him and his family. I’ve always felt there aren’t enough words that could show gratitude for what they, and all service members do for us- so I will give them photo’s instead.
