I recently ordered and received this album for my dear friend Sheila from our Trash the Dress shoot this past summer, and i am in looooove. Creating custom albums is really something that takes some practice- and i feel like i’m really getting pretty good at it! These layflat albums are so gorgeous, with spreads that can go right across the spine, so you can have one photo cover the entire two pages. For more information on my Layflat albums, and pricing, visit my pricing page.

I’ve been meaning to post some photos of some Senior Albums I’ve made this summer. Here is one…It’s a layflat (The photo [can] spread across both pages, right over the seem, making for some cool layout options! I completely fell in love with these albums, and am thinking of solely offering this kind! (Don’t mind the kinda crummy photos, I was in a rush)

So I was realizing the other day when I was making an OpLove business card to give to my FIRST OpLove client, that I didn’t have any info up on my blog about Operation: Love Reunited! Well, lets fix that! :)

I recently decided to join this non profit organization- which provides free photo shoots to military families who are either about to be deployed, are deployed, or are returning home. The volunteering photographer then compiles an album of shots from the session to send to the deployed family member, in hopes of boosting morale for that soldier.

I am so excited to be a part of this, and to, in a small way, show my gratitude for all those militarty folks who give SO MUCH for us, everyday. My brother has been in the Marines for almost 20 years, and been deployed more than once, so i thought this would be a lovely way to honor him and his family. I’ve always felt there aren’t enough words that could show gratitude for what they, and all service members do for us- so I will give them photo’s instead.

Hey all! So, I think this is going to be the first of a few blog posts I do tonight :)  Trying to get caught up before things get crazy again!

I’ve been playing with textures latley. Im not sure if im totally on board, but i think there is some great potential. This is one of my first tries. (This is a shot of an adorable babe I got to shoot last fall.)

So what do you think? Texture? Yay or nay??

I had a client/friend ask me a few days ago, how her family could go about ordering prints from her shoot.Which is really a great question, that I have been asked several times, so I thought it would be appropriate to do a blog post about it! Also, this applies as well, for general print orders, for those of you that have been linked to this page by yours truly! ;)

Having family memebers order prints from your shoot directly through me, is fairly simple, and its a great way to let them decide what they would like- without feeling like they are burdoning you in the process.

Right now the easiest way for them to order prints through me, is to: (also note this is pretty much the same way my clients can order prints from their shoot as well- but we tend to be in closer contact, so I don’t get asked that quite as often.)

1. Log into the gallery- under the proofing tab, you should see the galery you are looking for. If its not there check with me, or the family memeber who had the shoot with me, to see if it has expired.

2. jot down the image number(s) of the prints you’d like to order. When the gallery first comes up, it will be a series of thumbnail sized pictures. When you click on an individual picture to make it larger  it will have a number in the  upper left hand corner. ( ie. 3/35 – the image number would be 3.) Here is a screenshot of a client gallery. I have circled the image numbers in pink.

In this example, the image we are looking at is #46 out of 54 total. (it was a family and senior session, in case you are wondering why so many!) ;)

3. Send me an email noelsmallphotography@hotmail.com with the image number and the print/product you would like for that image. If you would like more than one, make sure to include that. And also the address you would like the prints/products shipped to. Your email should look something like this:

I would like print collection A

Image #23 = 1- 8×10

#12  2- 5×7   ect.

4. After you send me your email with your order, I will confirm your order total (although sometimes I forget this part, so just say ‘hey Noel, what the heck do I owe ya!?’) But also, you can refer to my prices on my website to figure out your total as well. I accept paypal, or you can also mail me a check. If you would like to pay via paypal just let me know when you order, and i will send you a money request. If you prefer to mail me a check to can mail it to:

Noel Small Photography. 221 Ross rd. Durham, ME, 04222

Once I receive your payment, I will order your prints, and you should have them in hand within 2 weeks (or longer if you are ordering an album)! That’s it! Pretty easy, although I’m hoping to make it even easier in the near future, by making an ordering form right here on my website- BUT for now, we’ll have to do it the ‘ol fashioned way :)

Hope that answers any questions you have regarding ordering- and if not, feel free to shoot me an e-mail, jot me a message on Facebook, call (207.353.9504) – whatever! I always welcome questions and comments!
